Info Corsair RMA experience

I have to give Corsair a little bit of Kudos, as I have never seen this before.

So my 2970wx shut down one day. It would not power on, no bios debug lights on my x399 ASRock Taichi. After days of debugging, I found that not only had my RM1000 burnt out, but it took the motherboard with it.

So, I RMA'ed the PSU, and told Corsair the story, that the PSU not only died, but killed the motherboard also. Now, the solution has taken me 2-3 months or so, not happy about that, but the bottom line ? They replaced the RM1000 with a RM1000x (must be a new model), but also gave me $280 CASH for the motherboard !!! Now retail is $350 on those, but I suspect that 280 is like their cost if they were to buy it. Regardless, its slow but good service.

That's actually pretty impressive.

I'd imagine many companies would have not paid for the motherboard. It's always good to see a company do the right thing (usually we only get the bad experiences shared here).
