I don't like this response at all.

Your rebate submission has been processed and your response is being mailed. You should receive it by January 12, 2007. If by this date you have not received your response, please contact us at 1-888-941-2912. Thank you.

I bought some Corsair memory and mailed in the rebate. They do have this nifty online status checking utility that you enter in your rebate number and you get the update.

Up until today it's been "processing." Now I see this. I dont' like the "response" part. How about "your rebate is on it's way" or similar?

Anyone know what this means or had a similar experience? I hope it's not a "There are problems with your submission" etc....they could've just emailed me and told me that. This is a freakin' $50 rebate!

Um, no. I've been submitting rebates on computer parts for a long time, and on things other than computer parts for 20+ years, thanks. :p

The ambiguity of the response bothers me. I prefer plain, uncluttered responses such as "Your rebate check is on the way!" or "You should receive your rebate check in X-days."

Notice the commonality amongst those example responses....n00b?

what do you expect them to email you ?

"If you dont hear from us..then..well..you're f***d, sucker ? "

This is a pretty standard email they sent you and everything should be clear.

Thanks; that works for me. The last rebate email I got was about a year ago, and it was much more clearly worded than what I got today.
