So after using Enermax PSU's exclusively for about 10 years now. I decided to make a switch after hearing so much about Corsair.

Now the reason I decided to switch was my Enermax Infinity 720Watt PSU started to act up.

This review covers the feature i'm about to talk about
http://www.anandtech.com/show/2324/2

Anyways Power guard started acting up and I was constantly getting a red light and two beeps, when trying to power on the machine or if I got it on and it went to sleep and was woken up. As you can see this would be super annoying after awhile. So since I bought this psu in 2007 it was clearly past the 3 year warranty.

So I said F*** it i'm gonna stray from what I know and try a different brand even tho this is the only issue i've ever had with a enermax psu. I'm still gonna do an RMA and once I find out what the cost will be I may fix it and resell it.

So I decided to try this new corsair gold PSU and so far i'm very impressed. It's so quiet I wasn't sure the thing was on when I powered on. Love the all black modular cables and build quality is on par with Enermax for sure. However it is pricey if you can afford it and well worth the money. I'm gonna be joining the chim challenge folding over the next few days so will put it to work hard very shortly.

One thing I was not impressed with is the Enermax support forum they take pretty long to get back to question seems as if they are understaffed.

**The 7 year warranty was also a big factor in me going corsairs way!**

If you own a Corsair PSU I would like to know your feedback on it and how's it been running for you.

I've had a 850TX for almost 2 years now and its been rock solid in my gaming rig.

I also have a 400CX in my server which has never been powered off in over 2 years now and again has been rock solid.

I always stick to Corsair, Seasonic or Antec and have never been let down. The new XFX PSU's are very nice as well.

I have a Corsair HX620. It's been quietly powering my builds for about 4 years. Couldn't be happier with it.

I have an HX620 I got before I even started to work with Corsair. Still going strong and it's been in about 7-10 different rigs in that time and spent some time on my test bench. Of course I am biased but we make good PSUs. I think you'll be very happy and thanks for choosing Corsair.

been using the 650TX almost 24/7 since early December 2010. no problems and super quiet. the intel stock heat sink on my i5-760 makes the majority of the noise now. :(

Yep!

HX620 and HX 650. I believe they are both made by silverstone. Great PS.

The only thing better is: SilverStone X 750w Series...This thing "Really" exudes Quality at ALL levels...

I've had my HX620 for four or five years now on pretty much 24/7. Not a single problem with the PSU. Many other components have changed through the years, but I haven't even considered replacing the PSU. I got mine before they shipped with 8 pin PCI-E connectors. I emailed Corsair when I needed 8 pins, and they sent me 8 pin cables free of charge.

Owned Enermax Liberty series, crapped out within 3 years, RMAed, crapped out within a year, got OCZ, crapped out within ~2 years. Got Corsair, no problems for 3 years now. Decided to install it in other comps, so now I have HX620, HX750W and HX650W, all running without issues.

Corsair 450VX in a workstation that I built 4 years ago is still doing perfectly fine. The 600GS in my system hasn't given me any issues either.

I had an HX520. Died after roughly 3 years. Corsair was cool and replaced it with a HX650 :)
