Building another new comp and I was wondering which some of you would choose. I'm deciding between the Corsair HX520W and the Seasonic S12-500W.

They are both VG units. The Corsair is semi-modular and based on the new M12 Seasonic.
http://www.jonnyguru.com/ sure liked the Corsair.

Another consideration might be the Silverstone 500W Element. This is a VG unit built by
Enhance. It will be inexpensive compared to the above units.

I believe the price will be the same and it will be RoHS compliant (lead free solder).

I don't know which versino of ENP-5150GH I have, but it's RoHS compliant already.

Baked, one has 12V of 31.5A combined and the series 3 is 35A combined and RoHS compliant.
So you might have the series 3.

That's nice... If I do end up selling my current machine, that will be the PSU I get. :)

Yeah you should stick with 500w or so. If the rev 3 of the enhance 5150gh is out, I would get that. Ewiz should have a good deal on it.

If your sticking with a single card setup for the life of your system, a 460W Masscool Nextherm is a good option. If you are planning SLi then I recommend the Corsair HX520.

I'm curious how quiet the Corsair is. I got a Seasonic S12 600w and its really quiet.

Based on a Seasonic, it would be safe to assume that it is very quiet.

Yeah, I think the m12's are supposed to be s12's with a modular design... same efficiancy, same silence. Check out galvanized's link to jonnyguru's site. It will have some indication of how quiet it is.

Hey, I just got my Enhance 5150gh from Ewiz delivered today and it is indeed the revision 3 (at least according to the sticker on the back next to where the cables come out). Also, it's got the RoHS logo on the side of the unit. Anyway, for $67 + shipping this is quite a deal IMHO.

Anyone waiting on the revision 3 should be safe to get aboard and get one!
