sorry yh125d, I guess I was assuming OCZ was good due to many people using it in their builds (you even have OCZ in your rig, according to your sig). Thanks for the suggestion on the gskill.

They're like Asus and Giga. OCZ and Corsair are not necessarily 'the best' it's just they are the biggest companies that usually have a product in every segment- and thus alot of people end up with their products. I'd go with whatever is cheaper.

And I wish I had bought g.skill like I had previously ;)

OCZ isn't a bad memory company at all, they just aren't as good as they used to. Higher voltage RAM usually, and mumblings of lesser reliability. I stick to G.Skill and corsair

Everyone's experience is different, but my experience has been that Corsair memory is the most dependable, especially when overclocked, while also being the most expensive. I've installed more sets of corsair than I can remember and I think they all performed exactly as advertised and all but one pair are still working as far as I know. I'm sure many of them have been retired but I only know of one set that actually failed. I've tried less expensive memory, but many of them would not meet the specs they were advertised to meet, or failed prematurely. My second choice by personal experience would now be Patriot. I've used Patriot DDR3 memory in my last few builds and they have been trouble free and performed exactly as advertised. It's helpful to have an alternative to Corsair when someone doesn't want to pay the price for Corsair. Unfortunately, I've also had more trouble getting Corsair Dominators lately, which most people seem to want when they ask for Corsair.

I would say that if you can save money, buy Patriot. If you can't, buy Corsair.
