Building a ryzen rig on x570 and undecided between the 2 ssds.

Corsair MP600 in benchmarks better obviously in sequential transfer but 970 evo seems to beat it on most more real-life benches. Price right now is almost same for 1tb model: MP600 is $10 more.

The last option would be neither and just keep my mx500 sata. Note: will clean install win 10 on it, still on win 7 and old rig only has sata2 so even here I will theretically get a performance increase on paper. Not sure if I will actual notice it. This would allow me to wait for a "real" pcie4 ssd with downside of having to reinstall windows again...

Any inputs?

I'd get the 970 EVO Plus if the difference was that small (in your region).

Also the 970 EVO (non-plus) is still a great drive if it's cheaper in your area. In the U.S., the non-plus version is $51 cheaper in the 1TB size.

I would also consider the Sabrent Rocket 4 1TB, I ordered mine for $200 from Amazon. From what I read it may be the best and cheapest of the PCIe 4 m.2 drives so far.

Thanks all. I went for the 970 pro 512gb as that is plenty enough including I already have another sata ssd of that size. The pro was only like $30 more than the 970 evo and I like my mlc. Given how old my old build was, this thign gonna need to last a decade.
