Looking to get a solid Corsair Ram choice with the setup I am putting together...(I don't know much about Ram at all, except I currently have 1gb of Corsair (2 x 512mb) in my system now. The Corsair Platinum TWINX at XMS3200 400 mhz CL2....xms3202v3.1

Wanting to go with 2gb (2 x 1024mb)

Going with this new setup:

ASUS A8N-E
64 X2 4200+
Raptor 74gb Raid
WD SE16 400 storage

Any ideas? No overclocking, just want something very solid and reliable...

I have researched some of the Corsair pro series, but just don't know what I need really ??? Would like to go with the matched pair setups.

THANKS!

You have an amd64 cpu and all reports I have seen indicate Value Select type is just fine for them. Because the mem controller is onboard (the cpu) expensive ram is not neccessary for good performance.

So, just get some inexpensive Value Select ram from Corsair.
