hi, alot of the corsair memory comes with either the black heat spreader or the titanium.
which heat spreader is better?
 
heat spreaders really dont do anything at all, unless you are planning to overvolt the SH!T out of the stuff. its just decoration that they put on their expensive ram. just get whatever you think looks better. imo, the platinum stuff looks better than the black. you can really see it if you have a windowed case.
 
both will cool about the same. just get what ever looks better in your computer, personal preferance choice here. 🙂
 
Heat spreaders don't help at all. They are more for show then anything else. Even if you do run high voltage RAM it is a much better idea to just have a fan blowing over them.
