corsair memory rebate

I sent in my rebate about a month ago and still haven't gotten any emails from them about rebate.
I know rebates take couple months but they would at least send email that they have received rebate forms and stuff.
I'm getting kind of worried because I didn't make copies of the stuff I sent in.
How is corsair with their rebate?

also have corsair psu rebate that I haven't heard about...
 
Never used Corsair rebates, but it might take 2-3 months for a rebate check to arrive.

And they don't always send an e-mail.

Next time - make copies. Or scan your "paperwork" and keep the .pdf files for easy printing, if necessary.

Since they make more money the longer they wait, don't expect to hear anything until 2-3 months. You may or may not get an email, depending on the company.

They are very slow and known to conveniently lose rebate submissions. I am stiil fighting with them over a Corsair PSU rebate I submitted in 8/07. They claim they never received it, delivery/tracking confirmation says they did, about ready to file a complaint with the Arizona Attorney General's office.
And their website sucks. Under submission status after processing your rebate it states "Your rebate submission has been processed and your response has been mailed". What they don't tell you is that response could be a check or a denial.

If nothing shows up on their site on your rebate 4 weeks after you mailed it call them at one of the above phone numbers.

They also handle Coolermaster's rebates. It took them 4 months after my submission to mail out my Coolermaster HS rebate check.

 
The rebate clearing house they hired is somewhat slow. I also don't recall ever getting any sort of e-mail notices prior to receiving my rebate check in the mail (2 months, I think?).
 
Velocity Fulfillment who handles Corsair rebates purposely holds out on processing, printing and mailing checks. They have to be one of, if not THE shadiest rebate processing centers. It's beyond me why ANY legitimate company would allow them to process their rebates.
Rebates can actually be processed within 1-3 weeks and a check mailed out within 4-5 weeks at the longest. However, because they make money on the LARGE sums of money that sits in the bank from all of the companies for who they process, they make the money off the interest.

The companies they process for sends in their checks to cover the persons who are entitled to the rebate(s) typically within 14-30 days of billing. It's Velocity who then holds those funds for 8-10 weeks sometimes longer. Corsair and other companies are just stupid for hiring them and continuing to believe their lies when the customers start complaining.

VELOCITY FULFILLMENT HAS VERY FRAUDULENT and CRIMINAL PRACTICES AND NO WORK ETHICS.
 
2-3 months sounds about right. Sometimes 4. My worst so far has been an Antec one. I bought my PC in March, mailed off the MIR. I got the rebate check in September. Of course, I guess that's partly why that rebate processor has filed for bankruptcy... And they don't always send you any emails or anything.
 
This is why we need to quit buying on "rebate sales", it sounds great,... until you have the hassle.

The more we don't buy products on "rebate sales" the less likely manufacturers will use them.

If you do use them, complain to the manufacturer whether or not you got the rebate,... complain about the length of time, the hassle, etc, yeah I know you won't get anywhere, but that is not the point. If we drive rebate complaints through the roof and cause the manufacturers enough cost and grief with this,.. it will be done away with and true pricing again take hold (with that savings earning you money in the bank instead of a middleman company)

Edit: those corsair rebates look tempting, but I would rather have an immediate $20 now instead of a promised $40 later
