Corsair memory as good as Crucial?

We're looking at light to no overclocking (max 140 MHz FSB, haven't decided yet whether to OC or not).

Specifically, I was looking at 512MB PC2100 DIMMs. The Corsair ones are slightly cheaper than the Crucials (~$10 difference). Is there any reason why I shouldn't take the Corsairs?

IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A GOOD DEAL I HAVE 2 STICKS OF CORSAIR 2400 256MB (TOTAL OF 512) CAS 2 DDR.

THEY WERE ONLY USED FOR A COUPLE OF MONTHS WITH NO OVERCLOCKING.

I PAID LIKE $150 FOR BOTH STICKS NEW SO I THINK I COULD LET BOTH OF THEM GO FOR $110 + SHIPPING.

Corsair memory is typically the best there is, actually. Their XMS modules (PC150, PC166, XMS2400, and XMS2700) are the best for overclocking. XMS2700 (DDR 333MHz) from Corsair runs at CAS 2, as does XMS2400.

The reason why we lauched these rather weak assaults at you is because virtually everyone is extremely peeved by those typing in all caps. But I digress, Corsair memory for less than Crucial memory is abnormal given its typically superior performance, so make certain that the vendor is reputable and double check the specificiations of the memory at Corsair's web site. Otherwise, you might get screwed.

I have always used Corsair memory. Just lately I got some Pc2700 DDR memory 7ns on chips. I have to see how well this stuff goes on front side bus

have you seen some reviews on corsairs pc2100... they have handled fsb's of 180 successfully. as well as the pc2400's. i'm sure the pc2700's will be better. anyways the motherboard they tested the memory on didn't allow any higher setting than 180 so they couldn't push the memory any more.

oh and corsair is the best memory module you can find. better than crucial. it's #1.

Corsair PC2700 is actual PC2700 memory. It follows the JEDEC specifications for PC2700 memory.

The memory should be 6ns. 7ns is only rated for use up to ~143MHz.
