hey guys just a quick question...will this power supply be able to handle 1 hd 5970 with an overclocked i7 920?

Yes...unless it is an insane overclock or you have some insane TEC cooler.

Yes, I have that power supply too and I have seen many people with 920s at 4.0ghz using hx650.

really? Are you sure it will support a 5970? What if he is OCing that too, like to 5870 levels or beyond?
