corsair hx620 or TT tp 700w

Just like the topic, I am trying to get feedbacks on which PSU I should keep?

HX620 = $85AR+tax
TT TP 700 = $79AR + tax

Both are modular.

PSU will be powering

- P45 mobo
- probably an e8400 or q6600 & xigmatek hsf
- 2 HDs
- 1 optical
- 1 hd4* gpu (with option of Xfire later down the road)
- 3-4 case fans

Thanks a lot....

I'd consider these too:
Corsair 750tx w/60A on the 12v rail. Has 4x6+2pin PCI-e power connectors, so you can hook up just about anything out there!!
$104 - $20 MIR = $84!!!

Corsair 650tx w/52A on the 12v rail. Has 2x6+2pin PCI-e power connectors.
$93 - $20 MIR = $73!!!

One of those I'd get over the 620hx, since it only has 50A on the 12v rails. Just my personal preference, so you can decide which you like.

Though the Corsairs are very well specced, I wouldn't say TTs are toys. Thermaltake sources their units from CWT, a very reputable OEM. Corsair VX550/TX750 and HX1000 are made by them. A lot of TTs old stuff wasn't very good though, I came across some real turkeys myself.

corsair, TT's are like toys.

Got anything to backup your claim?

Older TT psus were rubbish, the toughpower series however are solid.

I've been extremely happy with my 750 tp, only reason I got the HX1000, is cause the TT was getting a bit old (2 years, prolly only equal to 600 watts due to age) and as such the fan was quite loud when comp was at full load. Otherwise it is still very much stable even with two 4870 in cf.

Personally I would choose the TT 700 over the hx620.
More power, cheaper and the reliability is the same.
If you're concerned about looks, it also looks better 😛
