Corsair HX520 or HX620 for following setup?

Stability utmost concern. Have following parts in hand for a new trading platform build:

Q6600 SLACR G0
Tuniq Tower 120
Abit IP-35 PRO
2 GB G-SKILL DDR 800
2 x eVGA 8600 GT PCIe x16
1 X WD 10k 150GB Raptor SATA / 1 x WD Cavier 7.2k 160GB SATA
Samsung SATA 20X DVD-R
Antec P180

- Will likely O/C the Q6600 to 3.0-3.2GHz

- If it is relevant to power draw, system will power (4) 24" Samsung 245BW LCD's @ 1920x1200 DVI.

No gaming, just a trading platform. At most some light CSSource on flat market days or some DVD playback ;-) No Crossfire. Concern is the 2nd 8600 GT. I assume this won't draw more than the max 4x electrical (50W?) on this P35 chipset? Full power x16 slot 1 I have read can draw 75W max? Not certain on these specs, so if someone knows, please chime in if you could. I understand these cards to be non-power hungry and do not have supplemental power inputs like the higher end 8800's.

Difference in price is not important, but only the HX520 is available for local pickup tomorrow @ Micro Center. Looking to get system online for Friday markets after running stability/stress tests on Thurs.

So wait for an HX620?

Thanks folks. It's been years since I've actively participated on this board...like 1998! Can you say Riva TNT days? lol Can't believe how much it has grown since.

520hx should be enough power, little more headroom can never hurt though, if you ever decide to throw in a more powerfull card to play something else then CSSource on flat market days 🙂

Hey guys, tx for replies. After running down to Micro Center, turns out they just received two HX620's. With a special discount, picked it up for $129+tx. Not too bad and figure the extra headroom will be good for some years to come. Looks to be very high quality build with 5yr warranty.

This is OptionsTrader...lol, found my old Anandtech ID. Guess it was 2000, not 1998. Geez, ~8yrs ago.
