I got the H80I setup everything, the light on the water block turns on when the computer does then turns off, the corsair link software doesn't recognize the H80I says its not installed. Its very loud can't adjust any rpm on the fans.
Look for some help, if anyone can provide any.

Reason I posted was because i saw the H80I was on sale and have been considering water cooling for a while.

Will take any reccomendations about cpu cooling, looking for just a closed loop.

I think the only difference between the H80 and the H80i is that the H80i has the new fans and corsair link built in or something.,

Honestly, if the H80 is cheaper somewhere, I'd just get that and buy my own fans. Corsair's new fans are okay but they are still a little loud and I can buy better fans that push air way better.

I would go with the H80i over the H80.

The fans that come with the H80i are superior, though they can be loud when cranked to max (just like any other fan) and if you are really concerned about vibration transmission from them you can always buy some cheap rubber grommets for the screws from your local hardware store.

The real plus of the H80i, and of the Corsair "i-series" in general, is the inclusion of Corsair Link. Unless you already have a great physical fan speed controller Corsair Link is an excellent fan speed control solution that is software based. You can easily use it to create fan speed profiles so your fans will only crank up when you want them too, ie when a certain temperature threshold is reached or when you are doing intensive gaming.

Does this mean that you have plans on expanding to GPU watercooling in the future? If so, the Swiftech H220 makes more sense as you could expand it to have an additional 240mm radiator and a GPU in the loop. Aside from the better performing stock 240mm radiator, it comes with a better pump.

I am looking to expand to gpu eventually, but for now I would like to keep it closed loop. I only have a mid tower case atm and don't have much space on the desk for that kind of radiator/reservoir. Also i took a look at the price of the H220 and it is a quite bit more expensive then the H80I, It also appears to be out of stock on newegg which is where I plan on purchasing the Liquid cooling device.

Thank you for your responce appreciate the feedback, Should i get a bigger case/ future gpu cooling i will take the swiftech h220 into account.

How long does it take to setup H80i, what do i use for a solution?

I think you have a misunderstading of what the H80i is. Its a closed loop water cooler and is already setup, all you do is attach it to your case. You don't have to do anything else.

thinking I might have to RMA the device, its not powering on the 2 fans that are connected to the radiator, so i have to plug them into the motherboard.

Has anyone ever run into this?
