Hi guys how are you?

I have the H100 cooler running at my 3770k @4.5

There is only 2 fans on it, the stock ones that comes with the cooler

I was thinking to or buy another 2 fans and make the push/pull system or buy 4 new fans is it worth?

If yes wich fans do you reccomend for the H100, noise is not a problem for me, with the 2 stock coolers that comes the H100 i put on Max with no problem

I know that CFM to WC is not the most important thing to see, that's why i'm here to ask the pro's, the most important is the Fan static pressure right?

The stock H100 fans are good? Some people say yes, another say no, so confused...

Anyway, i know that i'll get the best solution to my cooler rig with you guys

Thanks

The fans that come with the h100, at least the h100i are essentially sp120s, corsairs max static pressure fans, without rubber anti-vibration and colored inserts. I would just keep those unless you are having some sort of serious heat issue. A 3770k at 4.5 should not need more cooling with that setup and good case airflow, unless you have to run a very high voltage to get to 4.5. Push pull will only decrease your temperatures marginally.

I was looking to or this one: Cougar CF-V12HP 120MM PWM

Or this one: Noctua NF-F12 PWM

Are they better than the SP120?

Thanks again

The SP120s are pretty solid. The options you just listed are more for silence than they are for high static pressure. If you want high static pressure, you should go with the King (capital for emphasis): Scythe Gentle Typhoons. They are top notch, but don't have PWM control, so you'll have to set up Speedfan or something similar to control them (or just let them run full blast).

If you really have money to burn, consider going full custom. ;)

Thanks man

The only issue is that i'll have to import the Scythe, do not have this one in Brazil

The other ones i can buy here, so the SP120's is so good as the Scythe? if not are they better than the the noctua one and the other one i've posted before?

I mean, it will be more expensive to import the Scythe, but if you say that it will worth i'll do that,i have the 3 other options here in my country so it will cost me less, but i don't wanna make the wrong choice

Thanks again

Having an h100 and running only 4.5ghz is a total waste lol.

Yate loons from petras tech shop, is the best fans to get - cheap, better to buy more than buy higher quality. However for 120mm fans gentle typhoons are good. But why get that when you can get MORE YATE LOONS!?

You generally want the higher fan in the front but it really doesn't make a big deal.

The stock corsair fans suck, so you don't want to get more corsair fans. Noctua fans are overpriced for their quality (they are good, just not great, and expensive).

You will actually get a significant (as far as accessories) temp drop with adding 2 more fans. Closed loop/water coolers get a relatively large temp drop for adding an additional fan - whereas air coolers drop only 1-3*C, water based coolers drop about 3-6*C per additional fan, which is huge.

Seriously though. Huge waste of money to use an h100, with additional fans too, for just 4.5ghz. If your chip is too crappy to run anything more than 4.6ghz on less than 1.5v, then it's not worth investing in better cooling (or having an h100, better to sell it off and get a more appropriate cooler).

Also, delidding, you really should do that, if you haven't already. And, you should really get coollaboratory liquid ultra before adding additional fans. You'll get a larger temp drop going to CLU than adding 2 more fans.

Guys ley me ask you another thing

Is there too much difence from H100 to H100i?

If yes is related because od the fans that H100i comes with?

Now with my new GT-AP 15 push/pull system that will arrive will i get near or even better than a H100i stock one?

Asking too see if i made a good deal just changing my fans and make a full push/pull with the GT-AP 15 or if it was better to forget my H100 and go to the new H100i

The fans not arrived yet so i don't know the results

Thanks again

When comparing the Corsair H100 to the Crosair H100i, the H100i is a all around upgrade. It's fans have better static pressure than those of the H100. It's tubing is better, rubber versus plastic. The mounting system is better with the H100i. It also comes with a better fan and pump control system, Corsair Link, which allows you to setup different cooling profiles via software rather than simply choosing between 3 already determined profiles on the H100 and then manually selecting them via the button on the pump/waterblock. The H100i is better in almost every way.

AP15s are decent, but remember that quietness comes at a penalty of airflow. I have a couple AP15s though, and they do a decent job in push/pull with a smaller rad, not sure how they'd do with the bigger rad.

AP15... aka Scythe Gentle Typhoon... is a "cheater" in noise to static ratio.

Meaning no other fan comes close.... As in, they are the king of the block to there cousins, and can only be outdone by the 38mm monster fans.

All Hail Nidac!
