I was trying to create a linux partition on this ssd and in the process I somehow caused it to hangup the computer during booting. I disconnected and the computer boots normally. How can I fix this drive if possible?

Can you still see drive in your OS? If so, try flashing the FW by using the field update tool here, http://forum.corsair.com/forums/showthread.php?t=100449. If that doesn't fix the problem, I would then find out if your SSD is still under warranty. It has a 3 year warranty, so if you are still within that period, I'd recommend that you take advantage of it and get that SSD replaced via RMA.

unfortunately it is outside the 3 year warranty period. The problem is it was working at which point I tried to change the partition size to set up for a dual boot windows/linux and it somehow did not like it. When i tried to reboot the computer would hang after detecting it. Can these SSD's be hot plugged once the computer is up and running? But notwithstanding that I went ahead and ordered a 128gb SSD on special for $60.
