they are both the same ram modules.
the only difference is a cosmetic one, the platinum heatspreader

usually ddr450 with added voltage is a reality, if not more
jedec just certified ddr400, so im sure many more companies will start producing it, allowing better ram chips to be made

most of the pc3000 and 3200 chips before were just handpicked pc2700 chips which were found to run stable at higher speeds, but i think samsung is the first company who actually produced pc3200 chips (corsair uses them i believe)

i have the stick with the black heatspeader and i've taken it stable to 414 @2-2-2-5. consider that they guarantee settings of 2-3-3-7 at 400 so i have been pleasantly surprised by their performance. however, i suspect that their PC3000 might be the same stuff since the specs of the indivdaul chips are 6ns (166Mhz) like the PC3200. I have been considering making the jump to the PC3500 as they claim to use 5ns (200Mhz).

Spring for the XMS3500. I've had them all (lol:p) and the XMS3500 whips azz on the other stuff if you're going to be using a 3:4 mem ratio. If you're holding out for Granite Bay for the P4, then don't bother spending the extra scratch; it prolly won't have the divider;). nForce2 would definitely benefit from the XMS3500 performance, IMHO. BTW, those XMS3200C2 sticks you're asking about are both the same except for the color of the heat spreaders. They both are currently shipping with the same 6ns Winbond chips.

Good luck:)!

Thank you for all the info :)
The fastest that I see me going is DDR 415 (156*2.66=415) so think i be alright with DDR400
