I have a Corsair CX430 430w that I would like to throw into my new build for now which has the following items:

ASRock Z77 Extreme4 LGA 1155 Intel Z77 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard
Crucial Ballistix Sport 8GB 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM
3rd Generation Intel® Core™ i7 3770K Desktop Processor
Antec Eleven Hundred Black Super Mid Tower Computer Case
SAMSUNG 840 Series MZ-7TD120BW 2.5" 120GB SSD
PowerColor HD5850 1GB GDDD5 AX5850 1GBD5-MDH
WD Green 1.5 TB 5400rpm drive

Am I asking for trouble or will the power supply be fine? I will not be overclocking.

If you don't overclock, then you will be fine with a CX430. I also have a 400 watt power supply in my system and I overclock.

I had a Seasonic 400W Gold unit (fanless) for a while that was running a stock 1055T + moderately overclocked (but not overvolted) HD7970 and assorted HDDs, optical drives, etc. just fine. The CX430 has a decent rating on the 12V rail and would likely also do okay with your config as long as you don't overclock much and steer clear of overvolting.

I don't think you'll have any problems if you don't OC. I'm running a 3770+7870 on a 450W (Antec EA-450 Platinum), and its only pulling 180-200W full load at the wall.

I have the same PSU in my HTPC with similar config, bearing only two differences:
- i5-760 CPU (which should draw more power than the Ivy Bridge)
- No SSD (very small power difference really)
- 3x120mm fans @700-1200rpm

You should be fine.

You're fine. I've ran an OC'd Core i3 4.2GHz (First gen) with an OC'd 4870 and it's had no issues. Only thing to worry about is the unreliable capacitors in the CX430. It probably has CapXon or Samxon GF, which are notorious for premature failures

Same here, I overclock on my 400 watt too, it works at the moment.

There should be no problem since the 430W rating is specified at 50C, meaning at normal case temps it should be capable of well over 500W.
