I picked up a HX520 watt modular power supply from Corsair a little while ago. I put it in a box with a ton of hard drives and floppy power requirements, but no SATA or high end video cards. I wanted a good PWS that I would never have to worry about, and Corsair seemed like a good bet, so off to Newegg I went.
So as I was hooking it up, I discovered I sucked at math. I did not have enough molex or floppy connectors. I spent some time trying to find them and failed miserably at locating a place to buy them. I went with the suggestion in that thread and got a contact from Corsair's site for getting additional cables.
I shot them an email with my needs and where to buy the connectors, and Joseph O responded later in the day. Seriously, the same day (that's rare in itself today). Joseph asked for my address, and mailed me out what I needed at no cost. I didn't even have to pay shipping. If that isn't awesome customer service, then I don't know what is.
There are tons of places to get computer equipment, and tons of companies that make power supplies. You can read Christoph Katzer's reviews here on AT and jonnyGURU's excellent information on the basics. But no mater how you slice the actual hardware, don't forget the people that stand behind the product, and support it. To me, that is worth more than a slightly lower cost.
Now, I know where I am getting my memory and supplies from in the future. I highly recommend them as a company.
