CORSAIR CMPSU-620HX ATX 620W

Would this thing run a e6600 overclocked to 3.6 and two 8800gtx cards with no problems? Also two hard drives, dvd drive, and a few fans. I really want to go with corsair seeing as it has a 5 year warranty and is well priced.

Doesn't the 8800GTX have two aux power connectors? Are you able to use only one? If this is true, then raw power of the corsair should be enough, with 50 amps on the 12v rails. This is a very good psu but I don't know about "well priced" 😉 for what you get it is good. If it turns out that you need 4 aux connectors for 8800GTX sli, then get the 850w Silverstone Zues. It is about the equivelent of the corsair in quality, and has a 3 yr warrenty (I think). It adds the 2 aux connectors.

Easily! The Inquirer overclocked a similar system except with quadcore and ran it with a 500 watter...and I don't think it was one of the better brands. They did acknowledge that something with a little more headroom would be desireable.
