Corsair Memory CMPSU-620HX 620W Power Supply.

I think it is a great price for a top notch power supply $116.51 shipped here

And to top it off there is a $25 rebate June 16th thru June 30th right here

So that makes it $116.51 (already a great price, shipped) minus the $25 rebate come out to a final price of $91.51 after rebate.

My take on this is a big NO and here's why:

1. Corsair doesn't list Colamco as a reseller on its website.

2. Colamco doesn't link to the rebate like every other reseller on Corsair's site does....

Both add up to YMMV as to whether you will get the rebate rejected or approved....and I'm leaning towards it being rejected for purchasing from a non-authorized reseller unless Corsair itself says Colamco is indeed authorized.

I considered that... not getting the rebate. But look at this...
Other vendors, Before $25 rebate, Shipping NOT included

NewEgg $164.99 (this one does have free shipping. But I got stiffed on a DVD+R D/L media rebate from them about 6 months ago)
Provantage $139.57
ZZF $148.90
Directron $144.99
Frys $169.99
ChiefValue $164.99
MultiWave Direct $146.50
PC Connection $159.95
Microcenter $159.99
MacConnection $159.95
NCIXUS $160.43
FrozenCPU $169.99
Dell $195.99

Even if you NEVER get the rebate none of these vendors can touch Colamco's price of $116.51 shipped

I don't have a good track record with rebates anyway. Still waiting for rebates for 2 PSUs, 1 router, and 1 spindle of DVD+R D/L media.

Obviously you've never tried a Corsair rebate, then. I've gotten three Corsair rebates and have never had a problem whatsoever getting them....and quickly, too.

Be nice if the rebate is honored, but since Colamco isn't listed as an authorized seller, I'm still leery.....and this also makes me wonder about the warranty, too. How did Colamco come to have these power supplies? Grey market......which means the ps's were intended for other markets but diverted and are now being sold in the U.S.? And will Corsair honor a warranty on a grey market item?

Questions, questions, questions.......and I still wonder..........

Well, we will see. I bought one. Corsair stands behind their products. I bought a CMPSU-750TX at a local computer fair last year. Just a bunch of tables set up, fleamarket style. It was new and the gal gave me a receipt for it. I highly doubt she was an 'Authorized Reseller'. About 4 months later it went up in smoke. I had no problem at all RMAing it with Corsair but they did want a copy of the receipt.

I see Colamco carries many different PSUs, including other Corsair models.
