Corsair 900D

Wow, and I thought my 550D was bigger than I needed.

I guess they are expecting you to overclock the bejeezus out of your system and need to cool it like that?

SR2 board with dual 2011s and quad gpus? Add in a few HDDs and you have yourself a space heater.

That thing looks HUGE! I thought my 700D was big, but that is a monster. Has to weigh at least 50lb!

Love my 800D. This looks too much like it, unless they have strategically saved a bunch of new features for the 1000D to milk more money out of us.

They have significantly improved the watercooling capacity of this thing. From the rep:

"This demo system for photos has two 480s and two 240s in it."

For reference the 800D natively supports a 360 and has to be modded to work with a 360/240 setup.

This can be used a for a water-cooling setup. This can be used for a non-water-cooling setup. Am I wrong? I think with so many reports of bad air-flow on the 800D they would of atleast made improvements in that area, no? The only thing they mention is water cooling so water-cooling was on their mind and as of now there are no indications of improved air flow.

This case doesn't look like a 800D replacement it looks like one of those boutique cases from Mountain Mods hence why it looks like they focused on watercooling. I would be surprised if this thing came under $400. As for air cooling its probably using the same system as the 800D, pulling air in from the bottom and pushing it out from the top.

Also some information for the air-coolers:
"For those concerned with aircooling, the case has comes with three 120mm fans mounted in front. That aluminum fascia is "floating", like a speaker grill over a high-end speaker. The surround area around that is about an inch on each side, and almost two inches from the front fans, which gives them plenty of room to intake cool air, and the front aluminum fascia comes off easily to change the front dust filter or access the three 120mm fans in front.

Pre-drilled for radiator, of course."

EDIT:
Price:
"Price? Over 3 under 4."

Looks like a winner.

Also, the 700D/800D could be found on occasion far cheaper than MSRP w/ rebate/sales. I purchased my 700d for ~170ish

I want a CM Cosmos II, but the 900D is making me reconsider. It looks like they'll be about the same price. Styling is a matter of taste, of course, but one thing I like more about the Cosmos II is that it's 3-4 inches wider (around 13.5) and that makes me think the airflow might be better with a four-fan setup. Why is life so complicated? 🙂
