I settled for one of the Antec NEO Eco 620c models, which may or may not be Seasonic (though it sure looks like one to me) for <$40.

Yes it is a Seasonic.

If you RMA it back to Newegg, can you order another brand PSU or do they just repair/replace this exact model?

You can do an RMA replacement which will get you the same thing back (though hopefully a working one) or an RMA refund which gets your money back (minus restocking fee if any).

I have the same exact board and just ordered this PSU from Newegg yesterday! I hope the one they send me is not a lemon but I guess you never know. The DOA rate on this PSU seemed lower based on the user reviews at Newegg compared to some of the other PSU (OCZ and Raidmax) that I was considering. Oh well.

They are pretty flexible, but if you simply use the online return process (accessed via your order history) you will be charged a restocking fee and have to pay for the return shipping fees. You have to call. They treat their "regular customers" very well. I asked for a full refund and a UPS call tag for the return and they gave it to me. I order from them all the time. They are my favorite. I have also never abused their generous return policy. I also didn't actually "need" the PS. I ordered it because it was a "good deal" and I wanted a spare. It also had mostly good user reviews. But mine was a lemon and I am glad I tested it before I put it away. Over the years the only "brand" that has been flawless for me has been Fortron Source. But I am sure they have lemons too.

current price 54.99 - old price 51.98 = 3 bucks durrrrrr

not sure if srs. I posted an update because it was only a few bucks from the previous price listed. However, until today it's been ~$62-$82 for the PSU so not such a good deal.
