I've had a 650d for about 18 months now. Recently the case fans stopped working.
I first noticed some mild, audible vibration from what I believe to have been the top-mounted 200mm fan, but it stopped after unscrewing and screwing it back in place; that was about three weeks ago. I can't remember the last time the fans were spinning since then.
I recently fooled around with a software fan controller called SpeedFan. At first I thought this might be the culprit, but I've since uninstalled it and the fans still won't spin. I've tested them by running some intensive games, but only the HSF on the CPU is working.
All of the case fans are connected to their corresponding PWM 4-pin connectors from the front panel fan controller. The controller itself is a switch with three settings, but changing these settings has no effect. I've read a lot of articles claiming that this case is notorious for its faulty fan controller, but usually with regards to its build quality; the switch could snap off pretty easily, so I've always been delicate with it.
I'm hoping someone here can offer some advice before I consider stripping this bad boy apart and doing some deep dive troubleshooting. Thanks in advance, guys.
