Overclocking?

If yes, then I would go more than 550.

If no, I would say 550 is the lowest you could get away with.

Do you ever think in the next few years yu might do Xfire???

plus with the X2 I think bigger might be better than just enough..

I did a quick check on your system and came up with about 531W needed

You want 30% more for really world

Check here as I did not enter exactly what you have..

I have a corsair 550w

I tried using a calculator to estimate how much watts I was using it came up with nearly 500w this is my system and the fan gets extremely loud when under load it overpowers everything else by how damn loud it gets before the upgrades there was no sound at all coming from it

the system currently is:

-antec 900 case it's 5 fans I added one on the side and the one large fan on top
-e8400 overclocked to 4 ghz 1.32 on the vcore
-4X1Gb sticks of 800 ram overclocked to 890
-3 harddrives (wd640gb black, samsung 1tb, 160gb wd)
-tv tuner card
-x-fi sound card
-4870 1gb
-8800gt
-p45-ud3p board

I ended up getting a corsair 850w for 155 after taxes plus there is a $20 dollar rebate here so I took it

The PSU calculators don't tell you how much power you use; they give a recommended PSU size. Your system would be around 350-375W.

well if it was using that it was still getting extremly loud I removed the 8800 tv tuner disconnected the fans and one harddrive and under full load u can't even hear it. so I just went and bought the 850w I was planning on doing crossfire later on anyway

First system needs 750W Corsair or PCP&C or equivalent rated at 40c 24/7

Second system (coinz) needs 610W PCP&C or equal / higher, so the purchase was fine.
