There is one in the Atlanta area (Duluth) and another one on the way. Also, any time you see a Fry's deal check Outpost.com to see if they have the same deal (they are the same entity).

Yeah, I know Outpost = Frys, but a lot of deals are Frys only. Which sucks. Also, as convenient as it is to order something online, sometimes you just want it NOW. There's no location near where I live though.

138.79 at Chief Value, free shipping for the same memory. 2 x 1GB Corsair

Or buy two of the 1GB Corsair DIMMS for 67.69 each to save more. 1 GB Corsair
135.38 also with free shipping.

You might save two or three dollars with the Fry's deal but here there's no rebate to worry about.
Are there any differences between these two? Or is the 2x1gb just packaging the two of the 1gb sticks together for dual-channel purposes?

Two sticks vs one. These will probably come with UCCC chips. Should do at least 220MHz at stock settings.

2.9v is usually too much for 1gb sticks. i've read reports where anything above 2.8v killed their sticks over time cuz the programmed spd gets fried.

that might be ballistix specific though...but hey what the heck, ram is so cheap nowadays anyways :D

At your local Fry's, Corsair Value deal is back on until Tuesday, April 11. This time the price before rebate is lower $149.99 but rebate is only $20 for same end price of AR of $129.99. Actually this is about a buck cheaper because they charge tax on the pre-rebate price.
