I have 2 sets of Corsair 1GB TWINX-3200C2, CAS2 DDR RAM - Dual Channel Optimised RAM, I'm looking at buying a standard nForce4 Mobo (Gigabyte S939, GA-K8N Pro-SLi, sounds good.) and just wanted to check that my memory will work properly with the setup I want to achieve.

I haven't decided on the processor but it will probably be an Athlon64 X2 although if the budget is a bit low then a standard Athlon 64 will do just fine for me.

*I'm building a PC that will hopefully fly on Windows Vista.

Any suggestions / ideas etc? thanks AT Forumers :D

is sounds like, if you go with socket 939, that the ram you have will work just fine in your new board.

but, if your going to wait for amd's new socket to come out, then your going to need to buy some new ram, as it will use ddr2, afaik.

good luck with whatever you end up doing :)

Thanks! :D

Yeah I'm going for socket 939 - I want to use my existing memory and I'm not worried about having a pc that performs 2 to 4% faster and spend Lot$ to get DDR2.

Can't wait to upgrade from my prescott 3ghz. :D :D
