They don't kill people for that sort of thing anymore do they?
This weekend I went to an R rated movie with a friend, and we were approached by a bunch of 14 year olds who asked us to take them in to see the movie since they were underage. They already had the tickets, but they check ID at the door.
I thought about it for a minute and decided to go ahead and do it. I must say I was partially swayed by the fact that one of them was wearing a "teenage mutant ninja turtles" shirt, and I appreciated the punk value of it.

Doing my part to contribute to the delinquency of minors. :)

They were quiet once the movie started. :)

Yeah, back when I was their age I was able to get into the movie theater without being carded, nobody gave a damn how old you were going into the movie. Now they require that an adult hold your hand and take you all the way into the theater unless you're over 17.

I have a 19 year old friend who can't drive (she has epilepsy), so she has no drivers license, and they always give her a hard time about using her student ID...it's just a freaking movie, jeez!

When you're a parent, and some guy subverts you and allows your children to do something you told them they couldn't do, remember this day.

AmusedOne, I'm not selling the kids crack or anything like that, give me a break. ;)

Anyway, they claimed that their parents bought them the tickets and then dropped them off, assuming they'd be able to get in from there. This could be true or not, but as far as I know they had permission - I was subverting the law more than I was subverting their parents. Either way, it's just a movie...they'll live.

Yeah, I love how I'm 16 and can't get into an R-rated movie. After all, they might say the f word, and that could damage my fragile psychology because I've never heard anyone use it before. And I've definetly never used it myself. Oh, my virgin ears!

Oh, and let's not forget that I might see a girl with no top on. I've never seen boobs before, I didn't know women had those things! Oh, my virgin eyes!

My ex got carded for Romeo Must Die. If them 2 ladies in the club in the first scene are what they mean by corrupting (those of you who have seen the movie know what I'm talking about), then by all means corrupt me baby!!

I believe the penalty is a nice cool drink of hemlock in Athens. Don't know about where you live.

You have to be over a certain age to buy cig lighters? I never knew that...that sucks! I'm a bit of a pyro myself actually. For quick and relatively harmless fun, try spraying some bianca on a flame. Make sure nobody else is around and that you're pointing away from anything flammable, of course.

AMD Junkie, that's what I heard too, but I was hoping it had changed since then...I'm not in Athens anyway, fortunatley. :)

Hey, it doesn't bother me any. I'm just saying you'll look back at this very differently when you have kids, that's all. Don't shoot me for being honest, OK?

What, I've been able to get into R rated movies since I was 13 without getting hassled. The only time they gave us any trouble was when my friend panicked when some guy can around the theater checking for tickets.
