I had a 200gig HDD on an external enclosure that worked fine forever, and then all of a sudden I get this error "H:\ is not accessible. The file or directory is corrupt and unreadable" I cant run chkdsk on it, or defrag it. My computer shows it as having 0 space on it, but when i go to manage in my computer, It shows the 200 gigs of space, I just cant get to it. there is some stuff I need to get from it. is there anything I can do?

Oh man, I am sorry to hear that. Have you tried using a different comp? What brand is it? Can you take the drive out and install it in a comp like a regular drive?

well, when taking it outta the external enclosure, the fvcking IDE pins broke.... but I plugged it into the slave slot on my tower, and it shows up in my computer, but says corrupted still, so I dont know what to do. I have stuff on there I absolutely need

GetDataBack for NTFS (or for FAT, if you're using that filesystem) should be able to get most of the data back for you.
Either that or R-Studio apparently works well too.
