I am experiencing a pretty serious problem and could use some help.
I have windows xp pro
AMD 2200XP, 80gig Maxtor IDE
Out of the blue today I tried to turn on my computer and received this message:
System32\Drivers\isapnp.sys
I tried a few times to boot into safe mode and a few restarts and no longer go that message but now receive this one:
\Windows\System32\Config\System
I tried to follow the microsoft solution to repair a corrupted registry using the Recover Console but found another problem.
I boot using the windows XP in the setup and its running through drivers its installing but before I get to the setup screen to press r for repair and then c for recover console it stops and I get a different message each time:
ntfs.sys corrupt
or
dmboot.sys problems...
or
setupdd.sys error code 7
or
sometimes it just hangs and stops
So I tried to solve my first problem of the corrupted reg by getting to the recovery console but I cant even get to that.
Anyone have and idea? Can I get to the recover console without going through the windows xp boot cd?
