a while ago I reformatted my computer, but of course i backed everything of importance to CD's...this included about 3 CD's worth of my MP3....i tested all my info on most of the CD's but unfortunatly didnt do this with my MP3's...well about 2/3's of them seem to be corrupted somehow...they are still there and have the correct size (or so it seems as they are all over 4 megs)

but for some reason they cant be played. is there any way to tell what could be wrong with them? and anyway to fix them? if i load them into winamp the name comes up but no entry for the length. and when it tries to play it, it just skips to the next file

are you playing them directly off the cd, or have you tried copying them to your hard drive?

when i try to copy it to the hard drive it says "Cannot copy FILENAME : parameter is incorrect"

:( i guess they were corrupted... sorry bro. i wouldn't throw your cd's away yet though, theres always a chance you might be able to save them.
