Corrupted files over home network?

Hello All,

There seem to be a problem with my home network. Whenever I try to transport large files (>20MB) over my home network, I tend to get corrupted files (checksum don't tally).

I do not have such a problem downloading large files from the internet (which is via the home network setup - internet sharing). So this should mean that the hardware config *should* be alright (cables, hub, etc...) and I just suspect that it could be a software problem.

Does anyone knows why this happens? Or if anyone knows a fix for this?

BTW, I'm using Win98 for all my 4 computers (including the one that is connected to the internet).

Thanx.

Derrick Loh.

I would suspect without knowing more that you may be using a hub and one of the PC's NICs is in full-duplex mode. It would be good to hard code the NICs to half to the hubs and full (ideally) to the switches.
