I got a call that a user lost all his desktop folders and Outlook fired up like it was the first login. Before you get all crazy about using win2k still, the whole place will be updated by the end of the week to a minimum of XP xp3 and Vista. I just got the job.🙂
If the user were to log into a different desktop, would he get all his stuff back? Or could this be a problem on the server itself?
The server has been unreliable IMO for a couple of years now, requiring reboots and restarts of Exchange and other services way too often. I'll tackle migrating to a new server and 2k8 in a later thread.
