Corrupt Profile in Windows XP - Could Remote Desktop Cause this?

I recently loaded up a fresh copy of Windows XP Pro on a new machine and I connect to it a lot through remote desktop. I went to log in and it corrupted the profile.

Anyone know if Remote Desktop is prone to this, or if something else may be lurking?

I do RDP all day long (mostly Server 2003) and I've never seen this as a problem.

Is rebuilding a Windows Profile safe, meaning does EVERYTHING get copied over? There are tons of articles including one from Microsoft

Guess i'll install this and try it:

Profile Corrupt and Shut Down Manager
