Corrupt Master File Table? HELP!

YoYoBabyYo

I boot up my computer and WinXP enters a check disk for one of my secondary drives. It tells me that the drive has a corrupt master file table. Has anybody encountered this problem and know a fix? Google comes up with so many different solutions, but I cannot be too sure that it will work.

I've used several utilities to fix a similar problem. Active Partition Recover or Partition Table Doctor is a good solution.

Thank you for the reply. Do those utilities scan and fix errors to recover the MFT back into normal?

I found that File Scavenger can recover my files, but it does not seem like it will recover them in folders. Does anybody know if this is true?
