I have been getting corrupt files sometimes when extracting with winrar. I thought at first it was my ram when I did a memory test and had hundreds of errors. I bought a new stick of ram took out the older ram but I'm still getting corruption. Does anybody know what would fix this? I got the newest version of winrar 3.20.

thanks

Either the files themselves are just corrupted when you've downloaded them, or your hdd is creating errors and corrupting the files.

Do a complete scan of your hdd, and see what it finds. If it doesn't find any lost clusters or anything, then it's just the source of where you're downloading the files.

Well I ran scandisk and it showed no errors on my drive. I know the files are not corrupt I even extracted the files on another pc and it extracted fine. Still have no idea what could be causing the problem.

thanks
