Corrupt downloads?

About a month ago i moved into a new house and set up a cable modem with a linksys wireless router for our home network. However, my PC isnt using the wireless, its plugged directly into the router.

So ever since moving in, ive noticed some strange behavior. pictures on webpages will sometimes be corrupt and look screwed up with the bottom part all distorted and discolored. here is a screenshot of an example -

but that isnt all.. torrent downloads will randomly give me a blue screen of death and reboot my pc, ive tried both bitcomet and azureus and had the same problem. also web videos such as from youtube will stop at random places and refuse to play any further.

i suspect that these problems might all be related to corrupt data coming from somewhere, but i have no clue on what could be causing it or what to do about it. any ideas?

Have you run a memtest on your PC? last time I had pictures that I downloaded and looked like that, I ended up with 1 bad stick of memory (out of 4)

New PC location hotter than the previous one?
