corrputed vb6 installation disk?!!!!

ok well i bought the software once off the shelves (lots of bucks) and once off the streets (10 bucks...) and i get the same error both times... i bought in america first time and brought to brazil so theres the warranty gone...

ok well it works a-ok and all except for the fact that the help (f1 - or ANY help for that matter) refuses to work. it says missing file something or other error. something about msdn ...

thing is i use help all the time and cant really code properly without it...

does anyone know how to fix this or where i can download the help files online or something? thx!

The MSDN documentation is available at http://msdn.microsoft.com - you may want to buy a MSDN subscription so you can have the MSDN library sent to you periodically. It's a pretty good deal.

Does it tell you what file it is looking for and/or the directory that is it located at?

Also, maybe you should try and contact MS via E-Mail. Just do not tell them about the street copy or the fact that your are on vacation in Brazil.

ill tell yall what im gonna try... hell its crazy and dumb but might just work...

ill install vb5 first (works flawless with help and all)

theeeen... ill install vb6 over vb5.... and since it doesnt install the help files cuz they missin or something itll upgrade tp vb6 but keep the vb5 help and i can use it.... if they written in similar ways (should be) this might work!!

ill try tomorrow when i get a hold of the vb5 disk!!
