Correct way to install "clip-style" LGA775 heatsink

Can someone tell me which way to install is correct:

1. Twist clip in the opposite direction of the arrow (counterclockwise)
2. Line up cooler with holes, push clips down until you hear a click
3. You're done (plug in fan obviously)

OR

1. Twist clip in the opposite direction of the arrow
2. Line up cooler with holes, push clips down until you hear a click
3. Twist clip in direction of arrow (clockwise)
4. You're done (plug in fan obviously)

The AC and Intel OEM heatsink directions weren't clear on if I was done once I heard the click, or if I needed to twist the pin in the direction of the arrow.

Thanks a million
