actually i hardly use them when say typeing a paper, i let office auto correct just about everthing, and spellcheck and fix stuff later,

i stopped proof reading things because im the worlds worst proof reader, i read over things and think they are perfectly fine, when they are not

Hah. I'd trust a 4 year old to do better on grammar then Office. Office uses TERRIBLE grammar.

Spellcheck is meh. It does alright, but honestly I never need it. I shudder to think that people trust it to fix their grammar, though.
I hope that's somehow intentional.

it can fix grammer? i didnt know that never used it for that

Why is it that so many people ehre and elsewhere use the apostrophe incorrectly? It isn't that hard.

you know what else isn't hard, proofreading your own post which is critical of others' mistakes.
Is it hard to start with a capital letter?

Yes! 😀

Believe it or not, I actually ran that through office to see if it would catch it. Nope. It complained about "sentence fragments", but didn't correct the then/than mistake.

As if this thread is going to somehow change people?

Different people have different priorities. Yes, crappy writing can be annoying if you've got a stick up your ass, but oh well.

And to be less PC about it: some people are just fvcking dumb.
