Hey, long time reader, first time poster. I built a new system (in Sig) and have all the updated drivers but my BF2 and COD2 performance seems sub-par. BF2 at full settings, no AA or AF, and at 1280x1024 yields about 35FPS in 64 player servers. Is this normal for people with similar rigs? COD2 yields about 20-35FPS with medium settings at 1280x1024 and no AA of AF.
I've read about problems with the X-Fi and an NF4 and also about problems with the X-Fi and BF2. Could it be this?
I understand i have 1Gb of memory and BF2 needs 2Gb but I'm not complaining about stuttering, just low FPS.
Please Help!!

Cliffs:
1.Good hardware
2.Bad performance
3.Similar for others?
4...
5.Profit!!

Hmm, both games are system hogs, that's known... The easiest way to improve your performance somewhat, would be too overclock your CPU... There is no more profitable way of getting more for your bucks than overclocking.... ;)

There is a tab in the Options section of COD2 to "enable SLI", do that, as it will improve your frame rates even without SLI...

About BF2 needing 2GB, you're right and not... 1GB still suffices, but in some cases, the influence of another GB does matter...
