I own a Logitech MX-510 and I just can't quite position my hand/fingers totally comfortably on it (esp. ring finger and pinky).

What is supposed to be the correct way to rest your hands and fingers on the buttons of this mouse?
- middle finger over scroll wheel?
- ring finger on right button?

I use my first 2 fingers for the buttons and the other 2 hang over the side.

So do I, but it doesn't seem quite comfortable that way (ring and pinky fingers feel awkward).

Is that your impression?

If you only just got the mouse, dont stress - it takes a little getting used to.

I hold it differently when im play games compared to normally.

Normally, I have my thumb in the thumb groove on the side, index finger on L, middle ringer on the scroll wheel, ring finger on the R, and pinky just sitting on the edge.

When Im gaming, my thumb and index finger are in the same spot as normally, but my middle finger goes on the R, and the other two hang over the edge/on the side.

Hope you understood all that. :)

thumb on the left side, index on the left clicker, middle on the right clicker, ring first knuckle on the top of the right side edge, pinky - bottom right side doesnt really do much but stablize.

Basically, the ring finger and thumb do all the moving of the mouse. Pinky only helps a little when i pivot the mouse from 90 degrees to 60 degrees.

basically the same except i use my pinky more for movement. i have heard that if you have a large hand, the mx510 is a bit uncomfortable.

chop em off. you only use all fingers when holding a console station's controller... and even then 3 fingers will do in most cases. my mx510 position.... a shrewd construct of arcane bending of the fingers, twisted in agony of the mind and bent between this world and tHE NEXT!! *ahem* thumb in thumb slot, index and middle on their respected buttons, and ring finger at the angle you would be at holding a baseball (Pushing the mouse left, into my thumb, but not in the ring finger slot)...my pinky... i wish i could cut it off, just kinda hangs there
