Corporate Fridays are a waste of a day

Honestly, we need to move to a four day work week. No one does anything on Fridays around here...and that means when people need to get stuff done, they can't!

Umm, yeah...did you get the meeing invite I sent for 4:30 this afternoon? Umm, yeah...it's a MANDATORY meeting?

Mmm'kay, thanks!

I really wish all companies would give employees the option to work four 10 hour days. I'd be all over that.

If you move to 4 days, you will have the same problem on Thursdays.

Though I agree, a 4 day week would be nice.

Yeah, you are right. Then on Thursdays you wouldn't be able to get anything done. Then we could move to a 13 hour work day and then Wednesdays would be the new Friday! 😕

I am truly wasting my time here today ...

A 4 day work week would cut the amount of oil used to drive to work by 1/5. That to me would be a huge savings alone.

we used to work 9/80s - half the company had today off, the other half had next friday off.

it was a complete waste. Invariably you'd need something from somone who was off that day & wound up goofing off instead b/c you couldn't get anything done.

Fridays are pretty bad, even more so in August and December when so many freaking people are on vacation you can't get anything done.

Yep...that's how it is here. It's just dead today. 2 emails in the past 2 hours. On the otherhand, I've thoroughly enjoyed ATOT today.

"Yeah, I just stare at my desk; but it looks like I'm working. I do that for probably another hour after lunch, too. I'd say in a given week I probably only do about fifteen minutes of real, actual, work."

I get the sneaking suspicion that you are a State of Calfornia employee... wait.. there's more... Department... of...of...SSSocial Services!!!

j/k I agree, I work too hard throughout the rest of the week, so by the time Friday comes about, I am all caught up, or like someone else said earlier, you need something from another person who's taken Friday off... and thus you have nothing to do.
