Corner mount or "straight away" mount?

Moving into a new place, deciding whether I should go for a corner mount or do it on a flat wall. I'll have a small entertainment unit right below it and a sectional couch that'll rest up against the wall--and there may be a surround sound system in my future.

I drew up some mock-ups below..any thoughts?

Holy fuck your place is small. My guest room is bigger than your living room.

Straight way mount looks better. Corner mount sucks. I mean where the hell are you gonna mount your speakers if you put your TV on the corner?

Ha, it's what $1850/mo will get you in the middle of downtown San Diego..my current place has a bigger living area but the location is better.

neither optimal but unless you want to have a diagonal couch that corner just doesnt' have enough space to work.
