okey so i was testing out to see which program was better, and there both reporting different core temps.

Coretemp = Core 0 33 Core 1 24

RMClock = Core 0 22.4 core 1 23.1

This is on a opteron 175. So can someone tell me why there both reporting different temps?

Help?

okey so i went with the higher temp and got a bit worried. I then relapped the CPU, Waterblock. and used both programs to check core temp.

Coretemp 32 23 ummmm hardly any change

RMClock 19 19 <--- 3 C drop.

Im starting to think RMClock gives more accurate core temps then Coretemp. :\

Can anyone test this as well?

And yes i ambient temps for both situations were near same. We have a central heater and a mom that likes to keep things at 70C

After doing a bit of googling and i also found out coretemps readings has to do with voltage being fed? ummmm id still like someone to test out both programs and see if they get the identical readings

Your room is not at 70°C, I can guarantee that.

By the way, 33°C is actually rather cool for a CPU these days.

actually your right the air below is reading 18C according to my thermo.

And the article i was reading reciently was on DFI-Street. Until it went down. But it said something about coretemp measuring voltage across.

Anyhow i think im going to stick with RMClock, since they were formally AMDClock. I think Coretemp is more ment for the C2D's
