Will these be available on the 14th?

Now that the motherboard I want is out (nForce 680i SLI) <- Might as well do 8800GTX SLI

I need a nice new processor to go with it :)

Are we still looking at availablity on the 14th?

When is the Q6600 version going to be available?

What are the pricing on these chips?? If I remember they are far above 2x the same chip in C2D mode....

PUll it out!! It hurts!!!

YIkes I think I will continue to build C2D E6x00 systems now with plans of plopping Kentsfields in later...when the Q6600 gets down in the 400 dollar range or closer to 2x E6600

yes, very expensive. worth the price? not sure yet.

good performance but seems a bit overkill for the average user.

but running 4xF@H would be fun! :)

It doesn't...If anything some of the boards may have some power issues once you start ocing these quad cores....DS3's may do well with solid capacitors while the S3's may be a bit weak...I really dont know but I know ppl have gotten them to work on many boards and even OC very nicely

Of course your Kentsfield's are better chips than the retail C2D's. Intel only releases the best chips they have as ES's; all of the "lesser" chips become retail and OEM chips. It's always been that way. And the reason you're are overclocking "just as well" is because you're running both @ sub-zero temps.;)

Maybe users are accidently typing Clubtit and the forum is censoring that part?

Obviously not. ****** must have really pissed the people who run AT off, I'm thinking.

Hmm, let's see: ClubIt

edit: Glad you figured that out. I would never have thought of it.

2 pages in my thread here and not 1 person actually answered my question yet! LOL

Seems ClubIt being censored is more interesting :p

Seeing that the 14th is now a day away...I guess I'll just wait and see what becomes available. (besides ClubIt)

Carry on...

Haha, sorry, man. I personally would expect limited availability, with higher than expected prices, like we had at first with the C2D's, at least until Xmas is over.
