Core2Quad Q8300 won't install Win 10, help?

I have a Gigabyte EP35 DS3L Mobo. I had a core 2 duo installed and was able to install Windows 10. The board has issues identifying usb thumb drives, but a CD worked.

So, I received a free q8300 and I popped it in. Now it will not install Win 10. It loads the boot screen with the windows logo and just hangs there and never loads the installer.

I've got NX enabled in bios and I also tried it disabled. Nothing.

Am I missing something? I popped in a Windows 7 disc and it loads up instantly. I'm super frustrated. I see conflicting reports online on whether this cpu is compatible, but the core2duo worked fine so it doesn't make much sense.

BIOS update needed? Or defective CPU?

You need BIOS F6 or newer to run a Q8300.

Whoops, sorry, I thought I was up to date, but I had the F5. Thanks for pointing me at the obvious fix .
