core2duo overclocking problems

Hi guys, I am running an E6300 on a Gigabyte DS3. This is my memory http://www.newegg.com/product/product.asp?item=N82E16820145566

Anyways, I have never overclocked before and have been trying my best to read around in order to figure out what to do. I recently finally decided to give it a go and thought everything was set, but apparently something has gone awry. I only overclocked my original fsb of 266 to 286 and received nothing but random computer restarts after every 10-20 minutes. My RAM is rated as 1.9v, but when I overclock and use EasyTuner5, it shows that my RAM is switched to 2.1v...not sure if that could be a problem. Regardless, this is such a minimal overclock that I am rather dumbfounded as to what is wrong. Here is some info from my bios:

CPU Clock Ratio: 7x
CPU Host CLock Control: Enabled
CPU Host Frequency: 286
PCI Express Frequency: 100
CIA 2: Disabled
System Memory Multiplier: Auto
DIMM OverVoltage Control: Normal
PCI-E OverVoltage Control: Normal
FSB OverVoltage Control: Normal
MCH OVC: Normal
CPU Voltage Control: Normal

All my parts are pretty much brand new and seems to run fine on stock...but I didn't get this system to watch it run on stock

Put your DIMM OverVoltage Control at +0.1, that will put the ram at 1.9v.

Also, when at the main bios menu hit Ctrl+F1 keys together, then you'll get the options to set your ram timings, with that ram set them at 15-5-5-5.
In case you dont know, thats ....
Tras - 15
Ras Precharge - 5
Ras to Cas - 5
Cas Latency - 5

Also be sure to set the System Memory Multiplier to x2

Now you can start "upping" your fsb. (the CPU Host Frequency)

Once you hit a point where its not stable, in Dual prime 95 (or better yet, orthos beta), then you'll need to start upping the voltage on your cpu and/or the FSB OverVoltage Control and MCH OVC . (most people usually only need +0.1 on those and some dont need to adjust those voltages at all)

Try the fsb and mch voltages at +0.1 first once it becomes unstable, and if that doesnt work, then its time to start upping the cpu voltage.
