Boards with four PCI slots:

GIGABYTE GA-770TA-UD3
I was looking at that board the other night.

Originally, I purchased the board in my OP, and I have four PNY S-Cure RAID cards. They are 5-port SATA1 cards, that do RAID 3 with five drives. I originally was going to use a ThermalTake Armor with five 3-in-2 adaptors (15 drives total, three RAID arrays), but I ended up purchasing a NORCO 4020 case, which has *20* hot-swap bays on the front of the case. So I was planning on using four of those cards. But after playing with one of them for the last two days, it has become obvious that they wont work out. They don't support arrays of over 2TB, which means that the largest drives that I can use are 500GB HDs.

So the alternative is to use these:

They are 8-port SATA2 PCI-X (yes, PCI-X), although they apparently work in PCI motherboards.

Does it look like I will have clearance for 2-3 of those cards on that mobo, the UD3?

I'm thinking of just running WHS, and getting a pile of those 2TB Hitachi 7200RPM drives, although I'm worried a bit about temps if I go with 7200 RPM drives.
