core2duo E6300 finished and ready for suggestions

How's it going guys! After a couple of weeks, I have my E6300 along with the GigaByte DS3 combo running along smoothly (or so I hope). With a lot of your help and suggestions, I was able to push my computer from a stock 1.86ghz to 3.15ghz (450x7). My vcore is 1.35 I believe and things seem to be stable on Orthos. Now, I only have 2x512 Corsair XMS RAM running, so I was wondering if I could possibly push my cpu further or would I require more ram? I also have a Zalman 9500...should I return it for the Scythe Infiniti that everyone seems to be talking about? CoreTemp always seem to be reporting my temperature to be around 46-48c and around 70c during orthos...are these temperatures too high? Speedfan and easytune5 reports about a drop in 10c compared to coretemp. Thanks for your help, this forum is awesome!

The temps look average. The CNPS9500 isn't exactly the best cooling solution for a C2D IMO even though I use one. I have my E6400 sitting at 2.8Ghz (400x7) because I do not want to run my memory at looser timings. More memory won't affect your overclock, but having faster memory will allow you more room.

70C at load sounds like you have a sh!tty IHS.

IHS? Isn't core-temp known to give temperatures higher than other programs though? also my apartment is pretty warm right now, not sure if that helps.

the IHS is the integrated heat spreader on the CPU. The copper plate with nickel coating over the top of the CPU. It's been known to not be always flat on every CPU.
